The CPIM process (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) is undergoing major changes and you should be happy to know that instead of passing (5) exams, the requirement has been reduced to (2) slightly larger exams. The intro exam, “Basics”, is still a stand-alone exam, and the other (4) exams have been combined to the new “Part 2 Exam”. The scope of the CPIM subject matter covers from company conception until the end of the production process. But don’t fret – we can help you navigate these changes and make a fun, productive class for your company, and assist those students that want to go all the way to Certification!
About CPIM
The CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) certification has a larger scope, from one end to the other, from company concept through warehousing, delivery, and reverse logistics. To be certified, there is only one exam, with 150 questions. It is a must for those who work the supply chain from one end to the other. Much of this preparation is on-line, but we can tailor a plan to make this a training or certification course for your employees.
About CSCPThe best way to visual and understand the CLTD (Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution) certification is to see where the CPIM stops, the CLTD picks up and covers “the second half of the process”. So yes, after attaining your CPIM, this would naturally continue the process. This is also just (1) exam, and like all of the classes, we can tailor our instruction to your exact needs.
